Best Practices
Rabiej Litigation Law Center
The Center with input from lawyers, judges, and other legal experts develops and publishes best practices and other guidance addressing issues and problems identified at its summits and other events. After every Center event, volunteer teams are formed to draft best practices addressing issues raised at the summit. The drafting is done under the Center’s aegis with assistance from scholars who participated in the respective summits. Every publication is thoroughly vetted and published for a period of six to eight weeks for public comment. The best practices in the compendium address problems that experienced lawyers and judges have encountered, which are not otherwise addressed in the literature. A Table of Contents is provided in the compendium, which lists the issues addressed.
The approved best practices addressing class actions and large MDLs are added to the Center’s Compendium of Complex Litigation Guidelines and Best Practices. Approved best practices addressing ediscovery are added to Ediscovery Standards. The Center is continuously developing work-in-progress drafts, which will be added to the compendium or standards. Links to the compendia, standards, and work-in-progress drafts are below.
